Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Join a dynamic pharmacy team in Clearwater, FL, as a Pharmacy Technician on a 13-week contract assignment. This temp role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, providing a structured workweek and the opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The start date is ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and fill prescriptions accurately, including insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections. Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification. Perform detailed data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers. Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring. Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes following compliance protocols. Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs. Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. PTCB certification and a Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center background is a plus. Strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and time management. Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
