Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Per Diem Seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a per diem position supporting a specialized independent pharmacy serving mental health patients. This role offers consistent weekday hours and a focused environment with minimal walk-in traffic and no weekend or holiday shifts.
Location:
Homestead, FL (pharmacy near North Miami)
Schedule:
Per diem shifts on August 18, 19, 20, 21, and 24
Hours:
9:30 AM to 5:30 PM with two 15-minute breaks
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter prescription data from the e-script queue Fill prescriptions efficiently and safely Operate Point of Sale (POS) system for shipping and deliveries Assist with managing courier shipments via Drug Lift Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and safety standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician license Prior experience with data entry in a pharmacy setting Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system is a plus but not required—willingness to learn is essential Fluency in Spanish is highly valued to support the patient population Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a low-volume pharmacy environment
Work Environment:
Dispensing fewer than 100 prescriptions daily, mostly delivered by courier (UPS or local) No opioid prescriptions or immunizations involved Very limited phone calls, no drive-thru, and minimal sales at POS Located within a medical building providing a calm and structured setting If you are a Florida-licensed Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a quiet, organized pharmacy setting and wants to support mental health patient care, this role offers rewarding per diem shifts without weekend or holiday demands.
