Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in IV infusion, aseptic technique, medication administration, acute care, and patient care in a hospital or pharmacy setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and patient service is essential for this role.Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist in filling and labeling prescriptions
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level
- Ensure medication storage and security measures are in place
- Process customer transactions at the pharmacy counter
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Support pharmacological services by assembling medications for prescriptions
Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Proficiency in IV infusion, aseptic technique, and medication administration
- Experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy environment
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
