Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A pharmacy technician position is available for a 13-week contract in Clearwater, FL, starting ASAP or once cleared (approximately 1.5-2 weeks after the offer). This role requires Monday through Friday availability from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Candidates should be prepared to support all technical pharmacy functions in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Responsibilities include:
Processing prescriptions, handling insurance adjudications, and resolving claim rejections Preparing, packaging, and labeling medications for pharmacist verification Performing data entry, managing prescription-related paperwork, and communicating with patients and prescribers Maintaining inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and reviewing medication expiration dates Assisting with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction processes Cross-training in various pharmacy functions to support department needs Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations
Qualifications:
High School diploma or
GED PTCB
certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license are required Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for interacting with patients, providers, and colleagues This temporary position offers hands-on experience in pharmacy operations within a collaborative setting.
