Required Education:

• Verifiable High School Diploma or Equivalent Required License/Certification:

• National Pharmacy Technician certification
• Eligible for state registration, certification, or licensure per state regulations

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Six months of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Strong understanding of prescription terminology, drug names, basic pharmacology, medical terminology, and basic pharmacy law
• Ability to accurately enter prescription and related data using computer applications
• Ability to meet production and quality standards while working with multiple tasks
• Ability to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders
• Ability to recognize limitations in decision-making authority and escalate issues outside the assigned scope
• Ability to perform Operations Assistant responsibilities as needed
• Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-10 hour shift
• Ability to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs during a shift
• Ability to reach and grasp objects at various levels
• Ability to operate a keyboard and departmental machinery
• Ability to work near moving machinery, including conveyor belts
• Ability to wear protective clothing or equipment as required

Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment Overview:

• This Pharmacy Technician role supports specialty pharmacy operations in a climate-controlled distribution center, with responsibilities divided between prescription fulfillment and packing activities
• The technician selects, picks, packages, and labels medications and ancillary supplies according to prescriptions while working under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and following pharmacy guidelines and applicable laws
• The position requires strong attention to detail, accurate medication counting using both manual and automated processes, proper hand sanitation, and safe handling of hazardous medications
• The technician will also support operational activities as needed, including preparing and restocking filling stations, cleaning pill-counting equipment and general work areas, and helping maintain an efficient workflow
• Successful candidates should have pharmacy technician experience, basic pharmacology and medical terminology knowledge, strong computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a production-focused environment
• The role requires the ability to remain standing for extended periods and regularly perform lifting, reaching, grasping, keyboarding, and equipment-operation activities

Job Duties:

• Select, pick, package, and label medications and ancillary supplies based on prescriptions
