Job Description

Pharmacy Technician duties and responsibilities Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions Calculating the price of prescriptions Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance. Stocking the pharmacy with inventory Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies Disbursing completed and confirmed prescriptions to patients Answering incoming calls and fielding patient questions Maintaining a clean and safe pharmacy by complying with regulations, rules, and procedures Extensive knowledge of handling Prior- Authorizations and knowledge to interchange medicines Create and maintain patient and physician profiles. Skills and qualifications Dependability Attention to detail Reporting skills Organizational skills Integrity Strong oral and written communication skills Patience and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations Experience working with multiple pharmacy software programs. Strong data entry skills Must have Knowledge of medical & drug terminology Bilingual Spanish/English Education and training requirements Must be a registered pharmacy technician or certified pharmacy technician. Able to pass a level II background check - (No criminal background) Must be able to pass a drug test upon hire and maintain clean drug-free testing at random. High School Diploma. Basic math skills.
