Pharmacy Technician Schedule:

8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST, Tuesday through Thursday Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations and ensure patients receive accurate, timely medication and supply deliveries. This role is responsible for processing prescriptions, preparing orders, managing inventory, communicating with patients and providers, and maintaining compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment where accuracy and patient safety are top priorities. Team Environment The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with a collaborative team that includes: 3 Staff Pharmacists 7 Senior Pharmacy Technicians Director of Pharmacy (DOP) Key Responsibilities Pack medication and supply orders for shipment. Pick infusion supplies based on patient delivery tickets. Process prescriptions from intake through order completion. Enter prescription information into the EMR system (CRP+) and verify accuracy and completeness. Pick prescriptions from processed work orders while ensuring correct lot numbers and expiration dates are selected. Contact patients, pharmacists, and physician offices to resolve prescription and claims issues. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns accurately and professionally. Receive and stock incoming medication and supply shipments. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and replenishing pharmacy supplies. Maintain accurate documentation and records in pharmacy systems. Follow all pharmacy regulations, safety requirements, quality standards, and compliance guidelines. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration as required by state regulations. PTCB Certification. Proficiency with computers and Windows-based applications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative pharmacy team. Preferred Qualifications Previous Pharmacy Technician experience in: Retail Pharmacy Hospital Pharmacy Infusion Pharmacy Experience working with pharmacy software and electronic medical records (EMR).
