Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals in a hospital or acute care setting, providing exceptional patient service and support. Your expertise in medical terminology, aseptic technique, and medication administration will be essential in maintaining high standards of patient care. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations related to pharmacy operations. Perform medication inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care outcomes. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Follow aseptic techniques when preparing sterile products to ensure patient safety. Requirements Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required. Experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred. Proficiency in IV infusion preparation and administration is Required Sterile and Non Sterile compounding experince required Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for ensuring safe medication practices. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy field.
