  • 5:30pm Monday-Friday with rotating every other Saturday from 9:00-2:00 (You get a day off on the week you work Saturday).
The pharmacy technician opening is in an independently owned Retail pharmacy in Davenport, Iowa. Our staff places a very high value on quality patient care as well as creating a positive and enjoyable work environment. Experience working as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required. The person we hire will need to have a technician certification.
Duties include:
  • Assist the pharmacist in daily running of basic pharmacy services
  • Prepare medication labels from preliminary interpretation of physician orders, performing basic pharmaceutical mathematical conversions and calculations
  • Assists in the prescription area by answering phones. Verifying refill information with patients prior to filling RX, Counting Medications, and compounding prescribed dosage amounts, entering necessary information in the computer and filling of the RX.
  • Participate in inventory control procedures
  • Assist other Pharmacy Technicians
  • Assist Pharmacist in scheduling and maintaining workflow
  • General cleaning duties
  • Assist in compounding prescriptions
