Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician at Broulim's Pharmacy, you will be responsible for accurately entering prescription orders into our pharmacy system. Your role is critical in ensuring the efficient and timely processing of prescriptions to meet the needs of our patients. Join us in delivering accurate and reliable pharmacy services to enhance the health and well-being of our community.
Examples of Duties:
Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy computer system accurately and efficiently. Verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy, including patient information, medication details, and prescriber instructions. Communicate with prescribers and healthcare providers to clarify prescription information as needed. Review and resolve any discrepancies or issues with prescription orders in collaboration with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff. Assist with other pharmacy tasks as needed, including answering phone calls, providing customer service to patients, and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
Knowledge:
Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices related to prescription processing. Familiarity with medical terminology and drug classifications. Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and data entry processes.
Skills:
Data Entry:
Strong typing skills and attention to detail for accurately entering prescription information.
Communication:
Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with prescribers, patients, and pharmacy staff.
Organization:
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Abilities:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to prescription orders and data entry.
Adaptability:

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in data entry or pharmacy technician role preferred. Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in computer skills, including typing and data entry.
