Overview We are seeking a dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our community pharmacy team. This role involves supporting various pharmacy operations, including LTC cycle fills, adherence packaging, delivery coordination, compounding, and managing prior authorizations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, exceptional accuracy, and organizational abilities to effectively collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, nursing homes, prescribers, and patients' families. A key focus of this position is expanding our compounding services to better serve our community. Duties Assist in filling Long-Term Care (LTC) medication cycles accurately and efficiently. Prepare adherence packaging to ensure patients receive their medications correctly and on time. Coordinate medication delivery schedules with nursing homes and other healthcare facilities. Support compounding activities, including preparation of customized medications in compliance with safety standards. Manage prior authorization requests by communicating with prescribers and insurance providers. Maintain clear and professional communication with nursing homes, prescribers, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless pharmacy operations. Ensure accuracy in all medication dispensing and documentation processes. Organize workflow to support efficient pharmacy operations and expand compounding capabilities. Experience Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a community or long-term care setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures, medication packaging, and compounding techniques is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare providers and patients' families. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under pressure. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program is required. Ability to adapt to new processes and contribute to the growth of pharmacy services, particularly in compounding.
