•$39.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist pharmacists by accurately preparing prescription medications for final verification and distribution. Responsibilities include medication picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and inventory support while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Pick, pull, label, scan, and prepare prescription medications for pharmacist verification. Package medications and related products manually. Process returned medications and ensure proper recycling or disposal according to established procedures. Assist with prepackaging frequently ordered medications, including labeling and storage during lower-volume periods. Retrieve medications from shelving, storage units, and prepack racks. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy. Notify the pharmacist of any medications or products that do not scan properly. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation. Replenish supplies and inventory as needed. Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA requirements. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Support additional operational duties as assigned. Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail, hospital, long-term care, or mail-order pharmacy setting. Experience with medication packaging, inventory management, and prescription fulfillment processes. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the workday. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, typically 7 to 10 hours per shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity required to handle medications, labels, and related equipment. Visual acuity sufficient to read fine print, distinguish colors, and adjust focus as needed. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a professional work environment. May be required to work extended hours based on operational needs.
