Job Description

Pharmacy TechnicianDuration:
6 months contract + Contract to
HireLocation:
Burr Ridge, IL Shift:
8am-430pm, and every other weekend from 10am-630pm
Roles & Responsibilities:
Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacistPick and pull medications from inventory shelves, storage areas, and prepack medication racksPrepare prescription orders for pharmacist verification by:

Selecting medicationsLabeling productsScanning medications for accuracyPackaging completed ordersAssist in preparing finished prescriptions for dispensing and shipmentProcess returned medications according to established proceduresAssist with medication recycling and disposal activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsMaintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirementsFollow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operationsAdhere to company policies regarding safety, attendance, quality standards, and workplace conduct
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentActive and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician LicenseAbility to read, write, speak, and understand
English Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Pharmacy Technician experienceExperience working in long-term care, retail, mail-order, fulfillment, or institutional pharmacy settingsKnowledge of medication packaging and inventory management processesExperience working in high-volume pharmacy operationsStrong organizational and multitasking skills
