Description:
Pana Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated PRN Pharmacy Technician to support our Pharmacy Department by assisting pharmacists in providing safe, accurate, and efficient medication services. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications; maintain medication inventories and automated dispensing cabinets; support medication distribution to patient care areas; maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records; and assist with sterile and non-sterile medication preparation in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position requires strict adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and written pharmacy procedures while contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare team.
Requirements:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus a combination of training and work experiences which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities listed in this position description. Examples of acceptable training or work experience include applicable experiences in similar position with positive references, completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program (e.g., Pharmacy Systems, Inc. Technician Training Program) or a passing score on the Certified Pharmacy Technician Examination offered by the Academy of Pharmacy Technicians. Licensure where required.
