We are a new and growing independent pharmacy focused on changing the way pharmacy is done . Our goal is to give patients better service while creating a workplace where technicians can actually learn, grow, and become involved in more than just filling prescriptions. This position includes traditional pharmacy responsibilities, but there is much more variety. You will have opportunities to work with compounding, vaccines, insurance and billing, specialty medications, inventory, physician offices, patient coordination, and other expanding pharmacy services . We are also continuing to grow into specialty pharmacy and sterile compounding , which means there will be more opportunities, new responsibilities, and additional areas to learn as the pharmacy expands. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and take on more over time. What We're Looking For Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Active Illinois pharmacy technician registration as required Strong customer service skills Comfortable and professional on the phone Friendly, patient, and easy to work with Dependable and organized Good attention to detail Comfortable learning new things and taking on different responsibilities Able to communicate well with patients, doctors' offices, insurance companies, and coworkers Spanish-speaking is a strong plus Compounding experience is helpful, but not required Why Greenleaf Is Different This is not a position where you will spend your entire day standing at a filling station. You will get exposure to different parts of pharmacy and gain experience that can be difficult to find in a traditional retail setting. We do a significant amount of non-sterile compounding , provide vaccines, handle more involved patient and insurance situations, and are continuing to add new services. As we expand into specialty pharmacy and sterile compounding , there will be even more opportunities for the right technician to learn new skills and take on a larger role. We are looking for someone who provides excellent customer service, communicates well, is pleasant to work with, and wants to be part of a growing pharmacy with a lot of room for future opportunity.
