About Us Holden Pharmacy is an independent, family-owned pharmacy located at 359 W Walnut St, STE A, Frankfort, IN 46041. We are a small, dedicated operation that focuses on providing excellent, individualized care to each and every customer. In addition to traditional prescription dispensing, our specialized services include organizing weekly medication planners, measuring for compression stockings, delivery, and simple non-sterile compounding.

Job Summary Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Part-Time Pharmacy Technician will assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring accurate prescription processing, excellent and efficient patient care, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities Prescription Processing & Dispensing Data Entry:
Accurately enter patient information, medication details, and prescription instructions into the pharmacy software system (PioneerRx).
Insurance Billing:
Submit prescription claims to insurance providers and resolve billing rejections or coordination of benefits.
Medication Preparation:
Count tablets/capsules, measure liquid dosages, and label prescription bottles accurately.
Customer Service & Patient Interaction Point of Sale:
Operate the cash register, process payments, and verify patient identities at pickup.
Patient Intake:
Gather essential patient histories, including allergies, updated insurance information, and contact details.
Triage:
Answer telephone calls, handle general inquiries, and route clinical or medical questions directly to the pharmacist.
Inventory & Administrative Management Stock Management:
Order, receive, unpack, and organize drug shipments and over-the-counter inventory.
Quality Control:
Check for expired or recalled medications and dispose of them safely according to federal and state regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications Licensure:
Valid Pharmacy Technician or Technician-in-Training License for the state of Indiana required.
Skills:
Strong math skills, excellent attention to detail, commitment to friendly customer service, and ability to multitask.
Schedule:
Flexibility to work within our standard operating hours.
Background Check and Drug Screen:
Candidates must be able to pass a required background check and drug screen.
