Pay:

Type:
Onsite- Jeffersonville, IN Climate Controlled, 180+ Hours of PTO once converted to full time, Benefits start 1st of month after conversion to McKesson. Medical and dental benefits available while on contract.
Job Summary :
The ideal candidate will be able to accurately and efficiently fill prescription requests in an automated refill setting. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician prepares, packages and distributes medications in a fast-paced production environment. Maintains continuous, consistent workflow in order to meet daily production goals; and has the ability to work productively either independently or as a team.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1.
Medication Dispensing:
Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing. Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders. Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity; opening large quantities of bottles and cases of product. Ensure the proper labeling and instructions for patient use on medication containers. Maintain an organized and clean dispensing area. 2.
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular stock rotation to prevent expiration of medications. 3.
Compliance and Regulations:
Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. Assist in record-keeping and documentation of prescription and medication-related information. Minimum Qualifications Indiana Pharmacy Technician License High School Diploma or equivalent Previous pharmacy experience Able to select and lift objects from shelves and carry to order filling line. Able to consistently carry 20 - 30 lbs. of merchandise short distances and 15 lbs. of merchandise on an extended basis from order filling station to conveyor.
