Onsite Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Organization. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Background & Context:
You will work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing. Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders. Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity; opening large quantities of bottles and cases of product. Ensure the proper labeling and instructions for patient use on medication containers. Maintain an organized and clean dispensing area. Conduct regular stock rotation to prevent expiration of medications. Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. Assist in record-keeping and documentation of prescription and medication-related information.
Qualification & Experience:
Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or willing to apply for Tech In Training License/willing to get IN Pharmacy License. High School Diploma or equivalent Previous pharmacy experience Able to select and lift objects from shelves and carry to order filling line. Able to consistently carry 20 - 30 lbs. of merchandise short distances and 15 lbs. of merchandise on an extended basis from order filling station to conveyor. Must be able to walk and stand throughout the entire shift. Basic math, reading and writing skills required. Excellent attention to detail Quality focused Stays on task • Accountability Work well as part of a team Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable): Able to select and lift objects from shelves and carry to order filling line. Able to consistently carry 20 - 30 lbs. of merchandise short distances and 15 lbs. of merchandise on an extended basis from order filling station to conveyor. Must be able to walk and stand throughout the entire shift.
