Job Description

Help Deliver Safe, Accurate Medication Care We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. In this role, you will work alongside pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered medication services across the health system. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play an important role in medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and patient support activities. Whether assisting with medication dispensing, compounding IV solutions, supporting outpatient prescription services, or maintaining pharmacy records, your work directly contributes to positive patient outcomes and exceptional care. Our pharmacy team utilizes advanced technology, automation, and EPIC to streamline workflows and allow team members to focus on delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. Pay Information $17.03-$23.85 per hour Weekend Differential is $1/hr What You'll Do Assist pharmacists with medication distribution and preparation activities Compound intravenous (IV) solutions following established procedures and safety standards Interpret prescriptions, enter data, and prepare prescriptions for dispensing in outpatient pharmacy areas Package medications into unit-dose formats for safe and accurate distribution Restock medications and maintain inventory throughout the pharmacy Obtain laboratory information and provide clinical support to pharmacists as needed Maintain pharmacy records, documentation, and departmental systems Operate pharmacy equipment and technology safely and effectively Perform clerical and administrative tasks that support daily pharmacy operations Support billing, patient record management, and other pharmaceutical care processes Maintain compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare team members to support patient care What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Indiana Must obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation within one year of employment Previous pharmacy experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and service excellence What We Offer A meaningful role that directly supports patient care and medication safety The opportunity to work with advanced pharmacy technology, automation, and EPIC systems Hands-on experience in medication distribution, IV compounding, and outpatient pharmacy services Ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Career growth pathways within pharmacy services and healthcare operations Collaboration with experienced pharmacists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams A supportive environment that values teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement A stable healthcare organization where your contributions make a difference every day A culture built on respect, accountability, and a commitment to exceptional patient care
