Job Description

Job Responsibilities Data entry of prescriptions and insurance adjudication. Fill medication orders for pharmacist review. Place daily order with drug wholesaler, facilitate pick up of medications from other pharmacies, and stock pharmacy medications and supplies. Maintain accurate logs pertaining to cleaning, refrigerator temperatures, etc. related to USP 797. Verify received drug shipments against invoice, and stock shelves. Return unused medication to stock or dispose of properly per policy. Prepare compounded products, checked by pharmacist. Other duties as assigned.
MEDICATION HISTORY RECONCILIATION
Gathers & documents a patient's medication history to help ensure patient safety & accurate medication administration Collect medication history by interviewing the patient, family or caregiver, reviewing charts, & calling pharmacies & physician offices Identify errors in patient history & communicate with appropriate staff Update database Collect medication history for upcoming patients that are having surgery via phone calls
Education Requirements Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent with Indiana Pharmacy Technician license and National Accredited Certification.
Experience Requirements Minimum:
Two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experience
License/Certification Requirements Minimum:
Indiana Pharmacy Technician license and National Accredited Certification
