Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support a healthcare facility in McPherson, Kansas, on a 13-week assignment. This role requires a dedicated professional skilled in IV compounding and medication preparation within an inpatient pharmacy setting. Candidates should be adaptable to a contract traveler position and ready to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM 1st
Shift Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing pharmaceutical services to clinical staff Prepare sterile IV admixtures, ensuring accuracy and safety Receive, inspect, and properly store medication and supply deliveries Process prescriptions and medication orders in compliance with facility protocols Utilize Meditech software for medication management (experience preferred)
Qualifications:
Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Kansas Minimum of one year recent experience with IV compounding; some sterile compounding involvement required Familiarity with Meditech pharmacy software preferred but not mandatory This position suits pharmacy technicians with a strong background in inpatient pharmacy operations, particularly those comfortable with IV admixture preparation and inventory management using specialized software.
