Job Description

Supervise employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and/or transmission systems including compressor stations for a geographic area or metro service facility. Education Requirements Highschool degree required In addition to education, this role typically calls for seven to ten years of relevant experience. Minimum of five years' relevant experience is required. Previous leadership experience is not required. Experience Experience with and working knowledge of the construction, maintenance, appurtenances, and operation of pipeline systems related to natural gas distribution systems. Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computers and related software. Application of basic math and algebraic formulas. Demonstrated ability to coordinate work projects for most effective use of personnel and equipment.

Distribution pipeline operation (specified by position) Transmission pipeline operation (specified by position) Company/governmental operating and safety procedures Emergency response procedures Communications skills Customer service functions Demonstrated ability to monitor operations and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies, operator qualifications and procedures. Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, and communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, reports, and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English. Licenses and Certifications Required applicable driver's license to travel to job sites throughout operating service area Must be willing to obtain CDL within first 6 months Additional Requirements Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors. Able to assist crew members in performance of routine and/or emergency activities such as construction and maintenance; leakage detection and repair; and corrosion control. Able to operate tools and equipment required. Communicate and/or exchange verbal and written information and instructions; conduct oral presentations. Supervise employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution and/or transmission systems and appurtenances including but not limited to: Line extensions Transmission/distribution lines Purchasing and materials Corrosion control Leakage survey Oversee and inspect installation and/or operation of pipeline equipment and facilities including but not limited to: Meter/regulator settings Tapping/pressure control equipment Storage tanks/scrubbers/dehydrators Pressure tests (air, gas, water) Inspect, evaluate, and recommend whether to repair or replace pipe and appurtenances. Schedule and conduct safety and training sessions for employees. Provide information, consultation, and/or assistance to customers, contractors, inspectors, city/county/state officials, employees, and others relative to company activities, policies, and procedures. Compile, prepare, and/or verify information including but not limited to: Operating activities Completion reports Accident reports DriveCam reports Employee documentation Service cards/leak reports MAXIMO Department metrics reports Various budget recommendations Customer correspondence O&M and capital budgets Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
