Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Newton, KS, is seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacy technician for a 13-week contract position. This role supports the pharmacy team by preparing medications, including sterile IV admixtures, and assisting with pharmaceutical services to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates with strong IV compounding skills and Meditech software experience will find this opportunity particularly suitable.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (1st shift)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications and provide drug information to healthcare personnel. Prepare sterile IV admixtures with accuracy and attention to safety standards. Receive, store, and manage incoming medication and supply deliveries efficiently. Process prescriptions and medication orders, ensuring correct preparation and labeling.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license valid in Kansas. Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in IV compounding. Experience with Meditech software preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of sterile compounding procedures is beneficial, as the role involves some sterile medication preparation.
