Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care within a retail setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medication preparation and dispensing, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This position will include various roles with an emphasis on a high level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, and strong customer service skills. Duties Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain accurate patient records and medication logs, ensuring all information is up-to-date. Must be able to work professionally with other members of the health-care team (doctor's offices, nurses, etc.) Maintain and update over-the-counter inventory, stock supplies on a routine basis. Monitor inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, performing routine inventory as requested. Must be able to be on feet during 8-9 hour shift, must be able to lift inventory boxes of 40+ pounds. Provide exceptional communication and customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of sales and deliveries, ability to count change, maintain customer accounts. The position will include clerical duties such as cashiering, preparing mail and deliveries, may include performing deliveries. Experience Previous is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Experience in pharmacy operations, and patient care practices is desirable, but not required. Strong customer service skills, a caring attitude and the ability to work as a team player is a requirement. Computer and math skills are required.
