In this vital role, you will assist the pharmacist in preparing customized veterinary medications through non-sterile compounding processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering the quality products Rood and Riddle prides itself in providing. Duties Prepare non-sterile compounded medications, following appropriate USP and facility compounding procedures Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations to determine ingredient quantities for customized prescriptions Operate pharmacy software systems for documentation of compounding activities Follow pharmaceutical regulatory compliance guidelines during all stages of compounding, labeling, and dispensing medications Experience Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation standards, and medical terminology Understanding of state healthcare regulations and federal pharmacy laws governing medication preparation and distribution Compounding Experience is preferred, but not required Nationally Certified Technician is preferred, but not required. Company assisted certification support provided for completion within 90 days of employment. The initiative to learn the working knowledge of USP Chapters and specifically or have the experience currently Necessary attributes will include: Attention to detail, organizational skills, problem solving, technical skills, quick/efficient learner, excellent follow through capabilities, positive attitude and a team player.

Pay:
