Compounding Pharmacy Technician Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area:
Lake Charles, LA Licensure Requirements:
Must have open, active, and in good standing Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License and be PTCB certified
Education:
H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience Needed:
1+ years
Schedule:
Full-Time Pay:
$25.00-$32.00
DOE Background/ Drug Requirements:
Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in inventory management of medications and supplies
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure quality and accuracy of compounded medications
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Stay updated on current compounding regulations and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients as needed
  • Assist in managing hazardous drug handling and disposal
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of compounding equipment
