POSITION SUMMARY

: The Technician III is responsible for providing high quality patient focused pharmacy services. Will also provide training and oversight for pharmacy Technicians I & II.

JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION

: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES, & REGISTRATIONS

: Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy. Must also have national certification (CPT) from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT)

EXPERIENCE

: Requires minimum of four years of related experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

: Requires excellent interpersonal skills, telephone communications skills and pharmaceutical calculation skills. Must be able perform at a high level in all aspects of outpatient pharmacy operations and must maintain competency in all areas of outpatient pharmacy.. Requirements for

Inpatient :

Must be able to compound Pediatric IV, Chemo IV and must maintain competency in all areas of inpatient pharmacy. Technicians will be required to complete the following prior to working in the IV room: IV Room Competency exam (minimum passing score of 90%) USP 797 Competency exam (minimum passing score of 85%) Hazardous Drug Competency exam (minimum 90%) Pediatric Competency exam (90%)

Compensation Range:

$26.92- $37.74 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
