Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient medication profiles, and ensuring accurate medication administration. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, clinical environment. The ideal candidate is energized by helping others, possesses strong medical knowledge, and thrives in a collaborative setting focused on patient safety and well-being. Responsibilities Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications label and store as needed during low volume times Packages materials and products manually Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas prepack racks Applies labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy check Alerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly Maintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies needed Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA Overtime holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected Complies with departmental policies regarding safety attendance and dress code. Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or GED with previous pharmacy experience required. Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures. Knowledge of pharmacy operations related to medication safety, inventory management, and patient care protocols. Possess and Maintain an Active MA Pharmacy Technician License. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and team collaboration.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
