Job Description:
At Wegmans, customer service is our top priority, therefore we see our pharmacy as much more than just a place where customers come to get their prescriptions filled. As a P1 Pharmacy Intern, you will take part in our highly respected program where you will gain the knowledge you need to be a successful licensed pharmacist. Under the guidance of the preceptor, you will actively contribute to the department, and learn to provide customers with incredible service; a pharmacy experience they can't get anywhere else! If you are a college student working towards your pharmaceutical degree, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to start an exciting career! What will I do? Utilize and bring your coursework to life, while gaining a comprehensive knowledge of the retail pharmacy industry Work with your preceptor, the pharmacy manager, pharmacists, and technicians to learn to better serve customer needs Answer questions, provide counseling on prescriptions, and relay any pertinent information so customers can successfully and confidently use medication at home Proactively contact internal and external business partners; comply with all federal, state, and HIPAA regulations; ensure company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures are followed
Required Qualifications:
Current student who is in progress for or has completed 1 year of pharmacy school with an anticipated graduation date of MM/YYYY Pharmacy Intern Permit, where applicable by state law
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmacy experience Immunization certification Systems aptitude Computer skills
