Overview We are seeking a dedicated Travel Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized pharmaceutical services to patients across various locations, ensuring medication safety, accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive pharmacy technician experience, including LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, and hospital pharmacy settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care in diverse environments, including community and acute care facilities, while maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical practice. Key responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications, managing sterile IV admixture procedures, and ensuring adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. The Travel Pharmacy Technician will also be responsible for data entry, medication administration, and maintaining patient confidentiality across multiple healthcare settings. This role requires a proactive approach to patient service and collaboration with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately in accordance with state and federal pharmacy laws, including sterile IV admixture and aseptic techniques. Perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages and medication compounding. Assist in medication administration processes within hospital or clinical environments, supporting patient care teams. Maintain strict adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards, including drug regulation and medical terminology accuracy. Utilize pharmacy software systems for data entry, inventory management, and documentation of medication dispensing activities. Support IV infusion procedures and sterile compounding processes following established aseptic techniques. Ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations. Conduct medication intake assessments and verify prescriptions against medical orders. Participate in maintaining accurate records of drug regulation compliance and hospital pharmacy protocols. Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries professionally and supporting overall patient care initiatives. Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management across diverse settings. Requirements 3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience Retail Pharmacy experience required At least 6 months inpatient hospital experience Hazardous & non-hazardous compounding experience required PTCB/National Pharmacy Technician Certification Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration in hand BLS required Must have reliable transportation Must live 50+ miles from the facility
