Payrate:

$31.85 per hour

Schedule :

Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5pm -

Fulltime Requirements:

Must have successfully completed an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program. Must be

PTCB & BLS

Certified. Must have a minimum of 1-year recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting. Must have investigational drug experience. Must have an unrestricted state Pharmacy Technician License.

Scope of Work:

Manages the investigational drug inventory. Conducts physical counts of investigational drug and resolves any discrepancies. Monitors expiry dates of investigational drug and returns study materials, as required. Maintains separate supplies of returned investigational drug from patients for trials that have this requirement. Provides technical assistance with clinical trial protocols. Utilizes knowledge of equipment and other technical skills to provide technical guidance for protocol summaries. Organizes a study binder for each trial with sections for all required documentation. Participates in the set-up of clinical drug trials, as required, including assembling study binders and other required items. Assists with staff orientation to clinical investigational drug trials. Maintains information and assists in the record keeping related to clinical trials required by the study protocols. Files all paperwork pertaining to inventory control activities. Performs internal audits of investigational drug dispensing records and helps resolve discrepancies. Assists in meetings with external monitors and responds to questions regarding inventory control and documentation and helps prepare responses in writing, if required Assists in preparing cost analyses of drugs used for clinical trials.
