Job Description

Description:
We are seeking a per diem Pharmacy Technician to work at our Augusta Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician provides technical support in our pharmacy department that includes preparing and distributing medications under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, maintaining drug inventory, and maintaining patient/resident records. Hours vary from 10am - 6pm and 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Pharmacy Technician Primary Responsibilities:
Procures and distributes medication orders per physician or pharmacist request Fills orders, medication kits or trays, medication carts, or stock requisitions accurately Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures Enters medication orders into pharmacy computer system Maintains logs, records, and other required documentation accurately Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor We look forward to speaking with you and introducing you to the high-quality care and teamwork that sets Maine Veterans' Homes apart in long term care. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Current Pharmacy Technician certification One (1) year pharmacy technician experience preferred Ability to communicate with tact and professionalism, both verbally and in writing Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required. Basic computer skills
