How you'll contribute An Advanced Pharmacy Technician excels in this role: Performs dispensing and billing functions in appropriate dispensing program Delivers patient- specific and floor stock medications accurately to patient care areas per department practices Assists the pharmacist in medication compounding Obtains accurate and timely medication history for each patient as directed Demonstrates awareness of differing physiologic requirements of patient age groups when performing tasks. Completes medication storage checks and narcotic inventory reconciliation as directed Participates and attends meetings as required or assigned Performs general clerical duties, such as answering phones, filing requisitions, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. What we're looking for High School Diploma or Equivalent Michigan Pharmacy Technician License (NOT temporary or limited) 1-year related experience (preferred) Knowledge of Medical/ Nursing Terminology.
