Job Type:
Part time/ Full time Responsibilities Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist. Ensure prompt service in the pharmacy by assisting patients and operating the cash register. Input patient and prescription data using our SRS system. Process and label all prescriptions and translate SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping and uncapping vials and bottles Retrieve the appropriate medication from the inventory Take telephonic prescriptions pursuant to current regulations. Answer incoming phone calls and do refills requested by patient. Contact doctor's offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions. Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs. Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return Assist in maintaining the pharmacy by keeping it clean and in order.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent Professional experience: Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license One to three years of pharmacy experience is preferred. Retail pharmacy experience is preferred. Experience in pharmacy environment. Experience in using SRS system. Communication, problem solving and organizational skills a must. Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlines. Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must.
