Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Immediate opportunity available for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This contract role is based in Eastpointe, Michigan, with a term from ASAP through the end of the year and potential for extension. Work Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm shifts, focusing on critical medication packaging and distribution tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill and label prescriptions accurately, including long-term care (LTC) packaging such as multi-dose punch cards and pouch packaging. Operate packaging equipment and ensure production runs are completed on schedule and without errors. Check in and reconcile medication exchanges from healthcare facilities. Process returned medications and manage credit applications. Receive daily wholesaler orders, organize and stock shelves, rotate stock to maintain freshness, and support inventory control. Pull products, scan National Drug Codes (NDCs), and prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.
Desired Qualifications:
Active and clear pharmacy technician license valid in Michigan. Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience. Experience in closed-door pharmacies or long-term care settings is preferred but not required. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is a plus but not mandatory. No prior experience with Frameworks software required—willingness and ability to learn new systems quickly is essential.
