Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Job Summary We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician with compounding experience to join a growing startup pharmacy operation. This position will support both sterile and non-sterile compounding, including preparation of vials, syringes, and IV bags. Because this is a startup environment, the ideal candidate will be flexible and comfortable supporting a variety of responsibilities across pre-production, compounding, and labeling. Responsibilities Perform sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding. Prepare medications in vials, syringes, and IV bags. Perform pre-production, compounding, and labeling activities. Work in a cleanroom for approximately 4 hours at a time. Follow all applicable procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. Participate in and successfully complete a comprehensive training program, including approximately two weeks of garbing qualification. Maintain flexibility to support operational needs beyond a traditional job description as the pharmacy continues to grow. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of sterile or non-sterile compounding experience. Pharmacy experience in a hospital, clinic, compounding pharmacy, 503A, or 503B setting. Missouri Pharmacy Technician license. IV/Sterile Compounding certification. Retail pharmacy-only experience will not meet the requirements for this position. Preferred Qualifications Previous sterile compounding experience. Previous 503B pharmacy experience. Schedule Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Some schedule flexibility may be required.
