The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, working in a licensed pharmacy facility. A Pharmacy Technician is experienced in all aspects of prescription drug procurement and fulfillment and plays a significant role in the coordination of patient services. Some locations may perform sterile compounding of IV medications and parenteral nutrition. All entry level technicians at locations that perform sterile compounding, may have assigned duties and advancement opportunities related to maintenance and support of the cleanroom and the sterile compounding operations at the facility.
Job Specific Requirements:
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions. Update job knowledge by participating in training opportunities. Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt with change of workflow. Perform miscellaneous inventory of medications, supplies, and consumables to ensure proper stock. Maintain housekeeping standards in the pharmacy areas. Participate in training of other staff. Ensure all pharmacy calculations are accurate and correct. Tracking, ordering, and receiving orders of supplies. Follow all SOPs, USP and all other safety and company policies, double check calculations, record compounding procedures, lot and expiry of ingredients. Coordinate with other pharmacy team members to fulfill orders and execute quality assurance procedures, following standard operating procedures. Responsible for inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of all laboratory equipment, instruments, utensils, and work surfaces necessary/required for the preparations. Monitor and record inventory of chemicals, materials, consumables, and other required items. Cleaning of all work areas, including work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls etc, Must maintain an active and unrestricted pharmacy technician registration in current state of practice.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Standing, walking, and bending for long period of time. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Current Pharmacy Technician Registration in resident home-state. Ability to cope with varied levels of workload and multiple tasks. Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written. Willingness to be a team player and promote a positive team environment. Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
National Pharmacy Technician Certification 1-3 years experience as a registered pharmacy technician Experience with CPR+ or CareTend. Experience in home infusion or specialty pharmacy setting Bi-lingual (fluent English and Spanish) candidates.
