In this vital role, you will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Responsibilities Accurately prepare, dispense, and label medications Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and ensure proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulations. Assist with medication intake and patient service activities, including answering patient inquiries and providing essential drug information using medical terminology. Maintain patient confidentiality while handling sensitive health information in compliance with state healthcare regulations and drug regulation standards. Support hospital pharmacy operations by verifying prescriptions, processing insurance claims, and ensuring adherence to federal and state pharmacy laws. Qualifications Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred Certification or training in Basic Life Support (BLS) is desirable; valid state pharmacy technician license or registration is required where applicable. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management; strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care; ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology. Understanding of state and federal healthcare laws governing medication dispensing and pharmacy practice.
