Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist the Pharmacist by performing tasks associated with drug inventory control, inpatient and outpatient dispensing, sterile and non-sterile repackaging, and sterile and non-sterile compounding, to include routine and technically complicated IV admixtures. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING andEXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in use of keyboard and basic computer applications. Registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment.Preferred requirements:
Completion of community college-based technical training program or other training program for pharmacy technicians meeting ASHP or North Carolina Board of Pharmacy guidelines.ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age appropriate principles of communication during interaction with others.
