Pharmacy Technician Location:
Morrisville, NC Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Every other weekend required (weekday off provided)
Experience Level:
Entry Level Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting pharmacy operations by accurately preparing and processing prescription orders for long‑term care (LTC) facilities. This role ensures medication orders are completed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and retrieving the appropriate medications from inventory. Apply, scan, and verify prescription labels; assemble medication packages accurately and efficiently into designated bins. Communicate inventory needs proactively to ensure adequate stock is available to meet daily order volumes. Assist with inventory management, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles, and keeping inventory organized and properly labeled. Consistently meet established pharmacy accuracy, quality, and productivity standards. Collaborate with supervisors and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion. Maintain a clean, organized workstation; restock supplies and properly store medications. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to the dispensing of prescription medications. Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations. Ideal Candidate Prior pharmacy experience preferred. National certification (PTCB or NHA) strongly preferred. Required Skills & Attributes Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. Effective communication and time‑management skills. Licensure & Certification Requirements Active, unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license (required). National certification ( CPhT ) preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
