The technician partners closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to support patient care needs while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and infection control. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare, label, and package sterile infusion products accurately and efficiently. Compound sterile medications using proper aseptic technique in accordance with USP / . Maintain cleanroom environments and adhere to all environmental and equipment standards. Manage inventory of IV solutions, medications, supplies, and compounding materials. Complete all required logs, documentation, and quality assurance checks to meet regulatory and organizational standards. Utilize pharmacy systems for order entry, batching, dispensing, and recordkeeping. Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication discrepancies or workflow issues. Assist with equipment maintenance, environmental monitoring, calibration, and related quality processes. Support timely preparation and delivery of medications for inpatient, outpatient, or home infusion services. Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous drugs.
