We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join an independent pharmacy and learn non-sterile compounding . Previous compounding experience is a major plus, but it is not required. Why This Is a Great Opportunity Learn non-sterile compounding Previous compounding experience is highly valued Retail pharmacy technicians are encouraged to apply Gain a specialized pharmacy skill that can help advance your career Hands-on training and experience with customized medications Independent pharmacy environment Opportunity for long-term growth Work closely with pharmacists and an experienced pharmacy team What You'll Do You'll assist with both compounding and regular pharmacy operations , including: Preparing non-sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision Weighing, measuring, mixing, packaging, and labeling medications Preparing compounds such as creams, capsules, ointments, suspensions, troches, and other customized medications Following formulas and established compounding procedures Maintaining accurate compounding records and documentation Keeping the compounding area clean, organized, and properly stocked Assisting with prescription processing and normal retail pharmacy workflow Helping patients and working alongside pharmacists and other technicians Who We're Looking For Pharmacy technician experience Retail pharmacy experience is absolutely welcome Non-sterile compounding experience is a strong plus Strong attention to detail Comfortable with basic pharmacy calculations Dependable and organized Willing to learn new techniques and procedures Able to follow instructions carefully and consistently A Great Next Step for a Retail Pharmacy Technician If you already know retail pharmacy but want to learn something new and add compounding experience to your resume , this is a great opportunity. You do not need to already be an expert in compounding. We are looking for someone with a strong pharmacy foundation, a good work ethic, and the willingness to learn.
