Job Description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring Pharmacy Technicians in Newark, New Jersey! This role is on-site. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Six-month contract with potential for extension or perm hire
Schedule:
Between 5am-12am Mon-Fri, weekends and holidays may apply
Pay:
$19.00 to $21.00 an hour Job Summary The Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications, maintaining patient records, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. The technician works in accordance with New Jersey pharmacy regulations and supports safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy operations. Pharmacy technicians in New Jersey must be registered with the New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy. Key Responsibilities Receive and process prescription orders. Prepare, package, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision. Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy systems. Assist customers and patients with prescription pickups and general inquiries. Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues. Maintain confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA. Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and expiration-date monitoring. Assist with pharmacy cleanliness, organization, and regulatory compliance. Support pharmacists in daily operations and patient care activities. Participate in quality assurance and medication safety procedures.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Preferred:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential through PTCB or equivalent certification. Previous pharmacy, healthcare, or retail experience.
