Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy. This role involves supporting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring accurate medication management across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently Manage medication intake and ensure proper documentation for patient records Maintain inventory control and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control procedures and hospital policies Provide support in acute care settings, ensuring timely medication delivery for critical patients Assist with medication reconciliation processes during patient intake or transfer Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician and helping you maintain the high level of skill required in the pharmacy care industry Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably within Pharmacy Attends training requested by Manager and acquires continuing education credits Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings while maintaining accuracy Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety standards Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and supporting patients This role is integral to delivering safe, effective medication management and exceptional patient care within a Pharmacy.
