As a vital member of the Pharmacy Team, the Pharmacy Technician assists and supports the Pharmacists by helping to provide accurate, efficient, timely, and personalized pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent Must complete CPhT within one (1) year of hire if not already certified Must complete the SJRMC structured on-the-job didactic and experiential IV compounding training with competency evaluation through demonstration and testing within one (1) year Must register with the New Mexico State Board of Pharmacy within ten (10) days of date of hire if not already registered
Preferred Qualifications:
CPhT certification Experience in Sterile Preparations Compounding Hospital pharmacy experience Good math skills Good computer skills Good customer service skills
Cooperative Duties and Responsibilities:
Drug distribution Sterile preparations compounding Order entry Charging Filling employee prescriptions Clerical functions Assists pharmacists and other colleagues Department liaison/ambassador Each employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
Subject to hazardous drug exposure (i.e., antineoplastics, antibiotics, anesthetic vapors) Subject to lifting twenty-five (25) pounds Standing or walking for most of shift As you go about fulfilling this mission, your work habits and work relationships should embody SJRMC's values.
