We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join the hospital pharmacy team. This role supports pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and keeping accurate patient records. The inpatient pharmacy technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and performs duties in compliance with state and federal regulations.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, distribute, and deliver medications in accordance with physician or pharmacist requests and established protocols. Replenish medications in automated dispensing systems and emergency kits, ensuring inventory is rotated and up-to-date. Safely and accurately compound sterile preparations, including intravenous (IV) admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition, in compliance with sterile compounding standards. Repackage bulk medications into unit-dose packaging per established procedures. Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and restocking medications and supplies; maintain accurate inventory and documentation. Perform and document monthly inspections of medication storage areas, identifying and removing expired or unusable medications. Generate required reports, labels, and pick lists accurately and in a timely manner. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with other pharmacy-related duties as needed.Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience - REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent. Current certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program (NHA or PTCB). Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of New York. Ability to follow established procedures and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. #INDAAR Job Types:
