Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our community pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. This role involves direct interaction with patients, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting patient care initiatives to promote community health. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling prescription medications accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, offering medication guidance, and supporting their needs with professionalism and empathy. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and pharmacy policies. Support community pharmacy operations by managing inventory, restocking supplies, and ensuring medication stock levels are maintained. Help in verifying prescription details and processing insurance claims when necessary. Contribute to patient care by providing information about medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements within the pharmacy setting. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred. Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions and medication records. Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills is desirable. Commitment to supporting patient care and promoting community health initiatives. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
