Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire A direct hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician at a closed-door, long-term care facility in Bardonia, New York. This role involves preparing and packaging medications to ensure accurate and timely delivery to residents, supporting a high-volume environment of approximately 600 prescriptions per day. Cross training will be provided in both the dosage department and toting functions, utilizing the Frameworks software system with training available for candidates unfamiliar with it.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose formats for resident delivery Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, monitoring expiration dates and ensuring proper storage conditions Maintain accurate patient and medication records in compliance with facility standards
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year's experience as a pharmacy technician New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required PTCB certification preferred but not required Willingness and ability to cross train in multiple production areas Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Rotating weekend shifts This position offers the opportunity to establish a stable role in a well-regarded LTC pharmacy with ongoing skill development.
