Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists and other technicians in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring precise and efficient pharmacy operations. Your dedication to patient service and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional healthcare experiences in fast-paced clinical setting. Also doing other duties required in the Pharmacy , ie running POS system and Parata (A packaging robot for medication) This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment committed to excellence. We also expect you to be prompt and show up ready to work. Duties Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including compounding and labeling prescriptions accurately. Manage medication inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and expired medications are properly disposed of. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, reviewing medical orders, and updating patient records with medical terminology expertise. Provide compassionate patient service by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques during medication preparation to prevent contamination. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care and critical care units to facilitate timely medication delivery and administration. Skills Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management. Experience working in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital environments, especially within critical care or acute care settings. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and clear communication. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, inventory management, and intake procedures. Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
