Responsibilities Accurately prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of licensed pharmacists Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and ensure proper storage conditions. Assist with medication intake, patient registration, and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and completeness. Maintain strict adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, including state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation, and medical terminology standards. Support patient service by answering medication-related questions, providing basic counseling, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Perform pharmaceutical calculations for dosage accuracy and participate in sterile technique procedures following aseptic techniques. Requirements Proven pharmacy technician experience in LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community pharmacy settings is an advantage Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management is an advantage Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to strict privacy standards. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and federal pharmacy laws essential for ensuring compliance.
